GRAY Conversations Return to IDSwest
The stage is set, and the star speakers are lined up
Sunday, November 22, 2015 — With more than 35,000 attendees expected at IDSwest this year, the team at GRAY magazine is coordinating the finishing touches for their Conversation stage.
Designed by Jen Hawk of Occupy Design, the GRAY Conversation stage and lounge is destined to be a show highlight again this year. It has an elemental, West Coast organic modern sensibility with an air of high-end hospitality design. Integrating texture and natural materials such as copper, charred wood, and live greenery, Hawk's set envelops the stage with a luxury look that is having impact globally, but is all the Northwest's own.
GRAY editors kickstart the weekend of indepth design Conversations with keynote speaker Jason Miller of Roll & Hill on Friday morning. Throughout the weekend guests will include Vancouver design stars Matthew McCormick, Patricia Gray, Reisa Pollard, Robert Bailey, Mitchell Freedland, Jeff Martin, David Nicolay and Jennifer Hawk, just to name a few. Topics range from entrepreneurship and product design to hospitality design, luxury design and of course kitchen design trends. Local brands 18 Karat, Finlay and Kath Inc., and Inform Interiors will also be among those represented on stage in panel discussions.
Contributors to the GRAY Conversation stage and lounge design are:
